MusaApams:We really need to come down hard on tabloids. They are not decent people and they loosely straddle the line on taking advantage of speech freedoms for monetary gain. As a cancer survivor and national cancer advocate (you can search my name), I find this lady to be courageous, strong and very loving. Beautiful lady. I see this type of thing all the time, unfortunately. America does not need the National Enquirer. We need more Lise Niemi's... Peace to all...
JACQUES:I certainly understand your point. And it's true that some of the stars thrive on the attention they get with tabloids. As Oscar Wilde once said "The only thing worse than people talking about you is when people stop talking about you." But having worked in the support field of cancer, and being a survivor, and know quite a few celebs, I know that is not the norm ~ and I have never met anybody that wanted a tabloid to consecrate the burial grounds of their family to sell tabloids. When challenged with a life or death situation, most prefer their privacy.The National Enquirer would have paid handsomely to get a photo of Mr. Swayze's last breath so that it would appear at a super market near you. I think what Lisa says more closely represents how most would feel about these kinds of intrusions.
Queuege:Woah! Sure the Tabloids are awful! But the past few generations of celebs have asked for this kind of treatment. Do you think they would follow someone around who dressed smartly, smiled and waved at them? They follow the freaks...and that is about 99% of the people in public eye. And who MADE them read the tabloids? No one broke into their home and plastered them to the walls. Get over your big bad self! Hope things go well for her in the future. (He was a nice man, but he was not a saint!)
